One of the other things about supermarkets is that they 'promise' to provide you with everything you need in one trip.

In our catechesis do we aim to provide 'ready meals' or 'well stocked store cupboard'?

Love the picture!

Thanks - I love this image of the supermarket - reminded me of the times when I've been to supermarkets I do not know, and I wander, confused, and can't find the things I need because the set-up and all the own-brand packaging is different - and I need several 'encounters' with helpful people stacking shelves or fellow shoppers to guide me on to what I'm searching for. Funnily enough, it either ends up with very grumpy me saying 'well, I'm never shopping there again', or a strangely grace-filled experience as happened this summer, having chatted with the man on the fish counter (who happened to have Down's Syndrome)..... not quite Martin's 'Road to Damascus', but pretty close - certainly changed me. Am using both these blogs for discussion in the catechumenate - thanks.
